Take an active role in the prevention, treatment and delivery of HIV/AIDS care in underprivileged communities.
Position ourselves as advocates for all people infected or affected with HIV by developing community education programs that address a variety of topics including prevention, adherence, disclosure and lifestyle changes that promote physical well being.
To encourage providers to stay abreast of the rapidly changing HIV treatment guidelines by providing accessible quarterly CME lectures covering a broad range of HIV related topics.
To create a speaker's bureau consisting of highly qualified individuals capable of providing current and scientifically sound guidance that is sensitive to the cultural needs of our diverse community.
To improve the quality and consistency of HIV specific health care in the surrounding community by building a cohesive and subsequently more effective network of providers that includes community based practitioners as well as those from local university hospitals.
